DEBRIS Removal from Hurricane Helene

Citizens of Barnwell.  The City of Barnwell has been working to keep services (water/sewer & trash disposal) going in the wake of Hurricane Helene.  We appreciate the hard work our employees have done so far as well as in the efforts in clean up.  Of the citizens, we ask that due to the large amount of debris that has fallen, if you have the means to dispose of the debris, please do so.  It will help in all the efforts and will allow us to get our community cleaned up quicker.  For those who are unable to dispose of the debris, we ask for your patience.

UPDATE: WE have learned that there will be extra contractors coming into Barnwell to remove the vegetative debris from the DOT right of ways.  This will include the large piles of trees and debris in the city limits of Barnwell.   Our garbage/debris contractor will be working on removing the debris as well, but it will take time.   If you want to burn within the city limits, please contact the Fire Department for a burn permit.  803-259-1930.   If there are other options available, we will inform the public.
