Barnwell NEWS

The Rose Street Tank will be out of service from early March to mid-April for refurbishment.  During that time, The Main Street Tank will be the only tank in service.  Some low water pressure may be experienced due to this, especially during peak usage hours.  Please be patient and we hope that this will not cause any inconvenience.

News from Barnwell County - road closure within Barnwell City Limits:

The intersection of Joey Zorn Blvd with highway 278 will be closed for reconstruction in the near future.  See the attached traffic control plan as well as alternate traffic routes that should be used during the duration of construction.  Truck traffic will enter the industrial park using the road closest to Joey Zorn Blvd (road between DSS and Joey Zorn Blvd).  Truck traffic will exit using Fuldner road to State Road S-6-398.  A temporary rock road will be installed at the intersection of Fuldner Road and Joey Zorn Blvd to help the flow of truck traffic and eliminate the sharp turn that currently exists.  Signs will be installed as shown on the traffic plan to help the flow of traffic.
The contractor plans to begin work on April 2, 2018.  The construction duration will be approximately 30 days depending on weather.
